Wahoo's Seafood Co. - Kerrville

We had been wanting to try this place for a while but weren't sure when it was open for business. We recently went on a weeknight late afternoon and were able to park in the limited off street parking and also be seated as soon as we entered. Our waitress was very professional, courteous and prompt. The menu is two sided but has a good variety of selections. We ordered the the Combo Platter $19) with Fried Catfish and Fried Shrimp and it came with two sides of your choice, which we chose rice pilaf and green beans. We shared this and were glad we did as it was just the right amount for two. The catfish filets were large and the five or six shrimp were large as well. They were all coated with thick coating which you could easily remove if you preferred. The rice and green beans were just right as well. The menu has several sides to choose from and the fish and shrimp can be prepared with three different choses of cooking. Although they have signs indicating the wait might be long, it was not a long wait at all. By the time we left, the place was almost full. The seating is a few tables and more booths and there is also a full bar with seating. They have a good wine list to choose from and also have specials that are not on the menu. The atmosphere is casual and low noise level when we dined. The parking is a bit challenging to back out into traffic but we managed. We were glad we finally ate here and will be back again.

The gator appetizer was seriously probably the best gator we’ve ever had. My Catfish Oysters was excellent and my husband said his Mahi was awesome. The food is great! The key lime pie is so good it has the right amount of lime and sweet and it’s so silky smooth. Overall this place was so good and budget friendly as well. We’ll be definitely stopping here on our way out of Kerville! Highly recommended!

Full disclosure, I haven't tried their etoufee yet, so this review is a first impression lol. The atmosphere was a pleasant surprise, and the service was phenomenal!This a place you go to eat damn good made from scratch food, so go when you have the ability to relax and take your time. Even though it was a long wait for our delicious food, the staff were very attentive and made sure we were taken care of.Definitely will be coming here again for a nice upper scale date night

Waahoos delivers a delicious seafood meal. My husband had the catfish platte, and I had the combo platter. It was very tasty!Parking: Approximately ten spots for parking in front of restaurant.
