As soon as I proved our contract and payment, they began to make excuses for losing it. A few weeks later we were notified of our place that they were removed from their preferred list. The reason was lack of communication and care of the service. After careful consideration, we decided to cancel with them. We have requested a full refund of our money because of the concern, not professional service and the bad customer service we have experienced on this point. We canceled over a year from the date we had reserved. Several emails were made with the last one that explains to us to give the owner time and he would contact us. It is now over 2 months and we are waiting for a callback contact phone call and our refund.
We used Thyme2Cater for my son's wedding at the end of July. (The bride?s father also a review- important questions) The tasting was delicious and everything seemed on the up and up, so we decided to use it also for the tasting dinner. We also rented their event room. To get in touch with them is a nightmare. About a month before the event that her air went out. We were sure that either they would be fixed or they would secure several portable units. The day before, I visited the event room and learned that the air is not fixed in time. I had provided this as a possibility and had secured an alternative place where Thyme2Cater could bring the food. I was again sure that the portable units would arrive this day, and they would be turned in the early next morning in time to cool the room for our dinner. When we arrived at 6:00 on Friday night, we were hit with a heat wall. There was a unit right at the door that was vented from the same door and was completely useless. It was absolutely unhappy and I would have had the event in my alternative place, but they believed when they said they could take it off. We felt it was fair to return the part of our money. After weeks and several attempts to get in touch with Andrew, my husband and the father of the bride met with him and Andrew led them to believe that he would refund them both a lot of money. Andrew went dark again and never followed. We received no money back and after additional attempts to contact him, he threatened to contact his lawyer. Unbelievable!! Andrew is at least unprofessional and the worst is a total fraud artist. Do not use this company.
This company is one of the most disorganized, dishonest and undeniable companies I have ever used. You have recently organized a wedding event for us. During the night before the wedding, they held the rehearsal dinner at the venue. The space it itself is okay (not especially), but when we arrived, we found that there was no A/C. As soon as you walked in you, you were hit with a bunch of hot air. The owner believed that he had a cheap solution for providing A/C by failing a window unit air conditioning in the door that the guest fled over countless times. Of course, this has not repaired the solution and I sweated all the time in the miserable hot venue. The food at night was okay, but they also have the actual wedding next morning. When they arrived with the food, it was not only cold, but it was cooked. That was a morning wedding and they delivered French toast casroles. If you can call that, it was basically wet eggs on cold toast. The rest of the breakfast was moderate, but mostly cold and they ran out very quickly. I checked the last reviews and it seems that this company is going to the hill quickly. They not only have problems with food, but they also have a great lack of organization and honesty. After all the concerns were brought to the owner, he did not seem to care and refused to do it right. I wouldn't recommend this company.

If you are interested in the longer version of what our problems then read more We used Thyme 2 Cater for the tasting dinner (I will let the parents of the groom share their problems about their event) and we used them for the wedding of our daughter, who was the next day. I will say that early in the process that things started well when the search for a Caterer, Andrew (owner) and chief Drew were very nice and accommodating. This was a brunch-style wedding reception and the taste test went well. So, to lead to the event, everything seemed fine. At the reception, however, I can say that they showed up and had food. We did not have so many guests (at least 10 who were not present) coming to the reception as we originally thought so that we thought there was a lot of food. Unfortunately, they ran away from food earlier, and the tables at the end of the line had very little food to thankfully we also brought Duck Donuts and Local Roots to offer donuts and special coffee for our guests. They did a great job and if it hadn't been for them, it would have been a disaster for our guests. Unfortunately, we had no chef Drew at the event, what we had led to believe, and they only brought 2 people next to the filling chef. Although the filling cook was very nice, due to the lack of help, no one kept an eye on the buffet or the beverage station and I am embarrassing to say that many of our guests went without at the reception. Besides, the food was best lukewarm. One of the characteristic elements of the taste test that everyone loved was a French toast coffee. Unfortunately, what was an excellent product during the test was nothing near what was presented at the taste test and was unbeatable by many at the reception. The lobby manager was so upset about the lack of supervision of the event of Thyme 2 Cater that she jumped in to try and help the cat that was not her job. The father of the bridegroom and I met with Andrew, the owner, after repeated attempts to bring him to talk to us about the rehearsal dinner and the wedding reception. Finally, an acceptable resolution was not taken. I'd take care of someone doing business with this Catererer. It seems from other reviews that this is a systemic problem for Thyme 2 Cater.
Thyme 2 cater has great food, that?s about it. Absolutely no organization and extremely unprofessional. We had paid twice for the dessert we had due to a miscommunication and was told we would get refunded, we never did. The day before we had to pick up our linen and were given someone else?s, this wasn?t a huge deal as someone came to the venue and switched it out but it added to the stress. Then the day of Andrew the owner got drunk and had to be escorted off the property. He made everyone feel uncomfortable men and women included. It is a shame that I couldn?t leave a better review because the food was great but it is not worth it to put up with all the other things.
