Hibachi Of Japan - Kernersville

One of the finest hibachi places I've been to! The service is excellent too. I think the negative reviews about the hours are somewhat unjust, considering it's a family-run establishment with just a husband and wife handling the cooking and serving. I wish I lived closer so I could enjoy it more often!

The food here is amazing when they're actually open. However, it’s quite frustrating that they often don’t open during their regular business hours. This has happened so frequently that I’m surprised they’re still in business. We tried to order again yesterday, but they were closed. This has happened about a dozen times in the past year. We always place the same order, which is around $70 each time. As much as we love the food, I’m seriously considering giving up on this place. It’s unfortunate since it’s so close to home. They really need to improve their reliability or adjust their hours.

I've been wanting to try this restaurant for the past two months since moving to Kernersville from Greensboro, but they were never open during their advertised hours. I should have taken that as a warning, because even though they were somewhat busy, the customer service was excellent. Unfortunately, it was the worst hibachi meal I've ever experienced. The white sauce was so thick and lumpy that it almost made me gag. The shrimp had a fishy taste and clearly wasn't of good quality. The rice was either undercooked or barely fried, with some carrots or something mixed in—it just wasn't tasty at all. The vegetables and chicken were acceptable, but overall, I really wanted to like this place and instead, I'm left with regrets. At least it was only $10!

Food (shrimp and salmon) tasted good but the fried rice was old and hard. Every bite I ate stuck to my teeth. When I came inside order the food they both the cook and the cashier told me to wait outside. I guess they don't take well to Muslims. It's very disappointing that my first time eating there will be my last time.
