Since the experience was extremely memorable, I have no idea how to make this review short, so here my longest one still goes: It is easy to miss this pearl of the Korfiot Taverns while on the “superbly” maintained Corfu streets (with 40 to 60 km per hour). There is no great sign that tells you something extraordinary will happen. You only see something that is attractive blue, and if you realize that it is a tavern, you have it behind you. The fact that it had always parked cars in the parking lot, and that there was always someone on the terrace should have been a dead giveaway. However, our group passed at least 10 times in the first days of our holiday before visiting. It is also far enough from the beach to not go as a viable location for lunch, so in the first days we have tried to get closer to us. Only after that we decided to visit Myths, and then we were hooked up: we went almost daily, sometimes even twice a day. The owners are very nice and dinner friendly, the food is extremely tasty (with some of our group say that the pork in wine sauce reminded them of childhood and how their grandma used to cook) and out more than ten times that we went there, it only happens once that someone does not like their food (it was the grilled octopus and it was a question of opinions as well as for the rest of the group it tasted). We always started with some of the great appetizers before we became the excellent tasting main dishes. There were 18 on the menu when we visited, and our favorites were: • Saganaki with honey sesame, an excellent starter who asked us why it is not in the desert section • Auberginensalat, unlike what we knew, but tasty not the less • The village Sausage, tasted like at home made by the grandparents Then there was the main meal, with our favorites: In the hot midday sun it tasted so refreshing • On the cooler evening sun it tastes like energy, as it seemed to revive you • In the moonlight it tasted romantic, with its lemon tastes accompanied by the sweetness of honey thinking back, as a group, we experimented with about 90% of dishes on the menu and we were never disappointed. To understand the thinking of the owners and why the entire experience was an excellent one, we once ordered the Lobster, but we were rejected. When we asked why, we were told that, knowing how much that would cost us, they would not serve something freeze. If we wanted lobster, we should order it for 1 or 2 days in advance so that it would be fresh. In my opinion, the owners do a great job, both to feel welcome and how everything tasted. Great thanks and she and I look forward to the next time I visit Corfu.
I highly recommend it. The food was delicious, the atmosphere was very cozy and the owners very friendly. The highlights for me were the beef burger, the pig in vine sauce and the orange cake.
Very nice typical Greek tavern with a nice staff and very delicious food. The tavern is guided by a friendly couple who put their heart and soul into the guests and the location itself. It is easy to reach on foot or by car from Acharavi or the surrounding villages and hotels. It is worth coming here instead of visiting the great tourist hotspots.
Great tasty food. Personel extremely kind. Price fair. Definitely a place to enjoy a memorable dinner
