Finally we were greeted and were sat at a table but no one came by to take our order for 15/20mins. He wasn’t sure how to make a drink I ordered which is fine, but he could have brought our shots and the bottle of bud we ordered while letting us know he was still researching my drink recipe. However he just ignored us until I went up to him and asked if he had started any of drinks cuz we just wanted to leave. We ended just doing our shots after being there for 55 mins. Absolutely terrible service and there was no reason for it. There was enough staff on for them to give good service. I wish I could give less than 1 star.
We tried this tavern last week, and were impressed. The part owner was our server and food came quickly, was tasty, and service was attentive. Tried again this afternoon and the coleslaw that came with the fish and chips was loaded with soggy onions. My husband will eat almost anything but not soggy onions! No one wants to eat cole slaw that is mostly onion anyway. As well, I had the pulled park sandwich. Bland. Also the same oniony coleslaw was on the sandwich. This sandwich needs BBQ sauce or something to spice it up. Boring. On another note the fish was crispy and chips were crisp and plentiful. Our server was busy but did a good job overall. Just think the food needs more pizzazz. Maybe small town folks are ok with the bland palate.
While staying overnight at Elk's Motel, we had a few beers and very good food for supper at the Wrong Turn Tavern. The owners are young and eager to please. Nice place, well greeted. Would go back again if we were to drive through Keremeos again.
Lousy service. Had to wait a long time to get acknowledged let alone get a drink. The food was fresh but once again had to flag down a waitress to get another beer after waiting another long time. The place was half full with three servers and still poor service. Ordered the Taco Salad, not bad but needed hot sauce. I always get the bottle of either Tapatio or Cholula and have never been charged. She brought a small ramekin of some other hot sauce. Had to flag the waitress again to get the bill. I was charged $2.80 for a small ramekin of hot sauce I didn’t ask for. I have never paid extra when asking for hot sauce. The manager explained that they were the new kids in town and had changed the menu and upped the prices. Not a smart move in a small village like Keremeos. We will go elsewhere from now on.
Upon arrival we were seated and waters brought to us. After 20 min of waiting the two servers behind our table, loudly argue about which one should be serving us. One server is using the F bomb. Neither feels it is their job! We start getting ready to leave just as the looser of the argument comes to take our order. The place is almost empty so we decide to stay. Bad Idea!!! There are no other places open: Our dinner guest was local and did not want to just leave. We waited for over an hour for our food. A burger, a clubhouse and a steak. By the time our food came the place was full and a pleasant young lady brought our food. The steak was burnt with burnt mushrooms and burnt seasonal veg. wilted salad and all the food was cold. After hearing the two servers blasting each other earlier, no one at our table wanted to say anything!! Dinner was over 70$
