I loved this place, the service is incredible, the food is great, they sell many Venezuelan products, from desserts to meals, they sell ready-made dogfish, to fill your empanadas, it's great. Very good environments
We moved near the area and decided to stop in Doña Arepas, with all the situation in Venezuela we thought it would be nice to support small Venezuelan businesses to contribute in some way to the situation. Since we entered, they didn't even say hello, despite us saying hello, we went to ask for the menu and sit down because no one guided us on what to do. When the waitress comes without a presentation, not even a good word, she takes our drink orders, very rude. I felt really bad the whole time because the few times they came to the table it felt like they didn't want to serve us. I was a waitress and bartender and working in the industry I have never seen two people receive their customers so badly. The food was very delicious, the atmosphere was super nice, but I don't know if those two girls are the owners but they shouldn't work serving people. When I come to read the reviews to see if that treatment was just us, I realize that several people comment the same thing. The owners of this place should take these comments seriously, because I am sure that people who come for the first time will not return if they feel the same as me and my family. The tip I left was because I liked the food, but waitresses should sincerely look for something they like to do so that they don't suffer their entire lives, doing something that makes them so uncomfortable.
The waitress had zero customer service skills, didn’t say hello. We ordered a water a Malta the waitress only brought the Malta. She was rushing us to order while we were trying to figure out what we wanted to eat. When she saw we were going to take more than 5 minutes to figure it out, she sat on her phone texting. So we just paid for the Malta left. The food on the menu looked great, but to pay $35+ for 3 items to get terrible service was nit it for us today.
I paid $22 by 4 cheese empanadas and the empanadas almost didn't have cheese. Last time buying in this place.
