Pal's Indian Cuisine - Kentwood

When they say authentic, they really mean it, and they deserve this title 100%. We were seated at a beautiful table near the window and soaked in the atmosphere of a lovely restaurant, with a hint of grandma's kitchen charm. Our waitress was incredibly friendly and patient as we perused the menu, helping us identify which dishes could be made vegan, even if not already labeled as such. We decided to start with the pakora (they brought us both sauces, one of which was not vegan-friendly) and I ordered the red rice which was also delicious. Don't miss the mango juice – it tastes just like a mango lassi, but vegan since it contains no yogurt.

The regular menu offers a variety of vegan options, and the staff is willing to accommodate small changes to make dishes vegan-friendly. While there are no specific markings indicating which items are vegan, there is a vegetarian section and the staff is knowledgeable about vegan options. The buffet also includes vegan choices, but the menu options are more preferable. It is worth noting that the naan contains milk, however, the roti can be made vegan by requesting it to be cooked in oil instead of butter. (Reviewed and updated on September 1, 2019)

I enjoy my meals at Pal's very much. I order only veg options. The Gobi Dipilsand is divine! They add heat as you request it. Very open to veg lovers

The Indian food was good, but it was a bit bland for my liking. If you're looking for a wide variety of options, this may not be the best place to go. The restaurant is very vegan-friendly, with vegan items on the menu. The waitress was helpful in recommending suitable food options once she knew we were vegan.

Simply subbed kartoffel for the wiper, and the server beat the vegan brot instead of naan. very easy to eat here.
