An overlooked local culinary gem. The food here is far superior the very overrated neighboring eateries, which mostly serve disgustingly greasy “bar food”. This place has fresh, quality deli subs. If you’re in Kent for a concert or whatever, skip the subpar overrated bar food at treat yourself to a really great quality sub at Franklin Square Deli, I only wish they were open later.

Just had The Philadelphian sandwich. Corned beef, capicola ham, slaw, and melted muenster cheese on sourdough. Loved it and definitely one of the better deli sandwiches I've eaten. Will return on my next trip to Kent.

My friend told me about the Franklin Square Deli one day and I decided to go out and give them a try and I'm so happy I did. The staff was very friendly and helpful for my first time. They were very superb when it came to making my sandwich. Not only was it delicious but they got it to me pretty fast especially during a busy time of the day. If you're in the downtown Kent area I highly recommend that you go give them a shot. They really are the best Sandwich joint at Kent.

Now that’s an Italian sub!! After living in Southwest Virginia for 15 years where nobody has a clue how to make an Italian sub it sure is nice to find this place. Staff was kind and welcoming too. I’m going to look forward to returning.
