They’ve recently expanded their menu to include a variety of Vietnamese street food dishes alongside their beverage options. I can’t recall the specific dish we ordered, but it came with fried egg rolls and vegetables. Unfortunately, the egg rolls were quite hard and hurt my mouth when I bit into them. Overall, the food was decent but a bit on the sweet side. I’m interested in trying other dishes to see how they compare. The drink we had was also very sweet; we forgot to ask for less sugar.
This restaurant has taken the place of Fire Ice at the corner by 99. The service was friendly, and my drink was prepared quickly. There’s a large bin designed to collect the crushed sugar canes, and they juice them right in front of the counter, which was really entertaining for the kids to see. Since I was taking my drink home, I chose to order it “no ice” to avoid it becoming watered down by the time I got home. This option added an extra $2, but the juice turned out to be so sweet that we just added our own ice at home and enjoyed it fresh. It was a win-win!
I'm visiting from Vancouver, Canada, and I always make a stop at this restaurant whenever I'm in Seattle. I have to say, the sugarcane juice with passion fruit is a must-try; it's an amazing drink! However, during my last visit, I ordered the razor clams with green onion and peanuts. While the flavor was good, I found a lot of sand in the clams, which made them difficult to eat. I would rate this dish 2 stars. I hope the restaurant can find a way to remove the sand before serving. Until then, I can't recommend it.
The drinks are 5 stars, every one of them I 've had has been fantastic. Sometimes I even get two different ones just for myself lol. The food is..not. The rolls are okay, but other items are meh. The banh mi 'pizza ' in particular is terrible. It 's Texas toast topped with what tastes like bologna, mayo, bbq sauce I think? Tastes nothing like banh mi sandwiches and nothing like pizza, but sounded intriguing. I don 't know who this item is for unless it 's a traditional thing? It 's certainly not for customers who like banh mi sandwiches or customers who like pizza.
Fresh sugarcane juice. I will drive 1 hour just for it. It is very refreshing in summer days. If you are driving back from a hike and kent is on the way, do take a detour and stop by this place for a sip of fresh sugarcane juice. It is inside Great wall shopping mall, opposite Ranch market.
