I highly recommend trying the dumplings, they are delicious. The service was prompt and we enjoyed chatting with the chef, all at a very reasonable price. Overall, this restaurant is excellent and deserves more recognition for its authentic and perfectly prepared traditional Georgian dishes.
Hospitable and warm service. Enjoyed the appetizer platter which was delicious with the bread. Dumplings were tasty as was the kachapuri with egg/cheese. Veal And pork Shashliks were a little dry but otherwise an enjoyable meal
I have had the pleasure of enjoying Georgian cuisine in various former Soviet republics, and Mimino is definitely one of the best among them. The vegetable meze was excellent (we now understand why the owner recommended it), the khatchapuri adjaruli was delicious (a must-try), and the cheese khinkali was unique and perfectly cooked. The prices are reasonable for Kensington, and the staff is very friendly. We had a bit of trouble splitting the bill at the end (there were seven of us), but the waiter was patient and we appreciate his understanding. They have a good selection of Georgian wines; we enjoyed the Saperavi and Tsintsali. I highly recommend Mimino if you're craving authentic Georgian flavors.
I stumbled across this restaurant while taking a stroll one evening. Enjoyed it thoroughly! The meal began with complementary brown bread, butter, and a shot of vodka. The borshch was tasty and surprisingly spicy. The khinkali (dumplings) were ample and flavorful. The beer (Lithuanian lager) was too thin for my taste. The service was fast. Highly recommend!
After making a trip to Georgia I wanted to try again the flavors of Georgian cucia. I went with eight friends in this restaurant to celebrate bachelorette. During orders we all order Chinkali (7 servings with potatoes, 1 with meat). After about 10 minutes waiter tells us that they can not make 8 portions of Chinkali and we can order at most 4 (we order 3 with potatoes and 1 meat) we also take 3 Chaczapuri. After about 20 minutes start coming Chaczapuri after 30 munuti first Chinkali with potatoes another 10 minutes other Chnkali with potatoes and after requiring when Chinkali comes with meat waiter tells us that Chinkali with meat there is no and it is we have to order a different dish. We didn't order anything and we were going to go when waiter comes with Chinkali with meat?!?!?!?! ASSURANCE
