I wasn't in the restaurant. but I have tried to change my order through open web and to make the restaurant call. for three days, not until the third day, I have an answer about facebook and it told me that the restaurant is a week closed. ?
After we booked a late table when we arrived, we were told that it was too late to eat. it has the look of the owner or maitre de to change the mind of the waiter. we stayed when we planned this post-performance menu and didn't want to look for anything else in a way we didn't know at 10.30. it took a while before we felt no more like an inconvenience! it would be helpful if late bookings were not offered/ accepted if restaurants do not want to take them on a Saturday evening near the albert hall. the waiter was helpful, but it was a bad meal from the kitchen.
This is my second visit to crib de rib and it was not disappointing, ordered the beef short nativity with chips and koleslaw and was very tasty, the restaurant was relatiw quiet, but then it was quite early, yet I would go back next time there is a offer on!
My starter, the crab, was covered in a thick layer of cream. It had hardly any flavour and I found it a struggle to eat. The ribs were of good quality, but no better than from a gastropub. The wine list was limited. The wine I selected was not available. All the wines were overpriced. £42 for an average bottle of Rioja crianza I would normally expect to pay around £30 for this at a restaurant of this standard. I shall not return.
