We were lucky to get a table for three after a short wait. It was definitely worth it. I had the bacon butty and a pink grapefruit juice. The juice was fresh and the roasted bacon was delicious. The staff was lovely and the decor was charming with rustic tables, black chandeliers, and wine bottles decorating the walls. I initially wanted to give it four stars, but after my visit, I have no reason not to give it five. If I ever find myself in Kensington again, I will definitely come back.
I absolutely adore the breakfast at Caffe Phillies (served all day.) Their smoked salmon with a touch, English breakfast, and ham and cheese croissant or croissant with butter and jam are all favorites of mine. Their carrot cake is also heavenly! They offer fresh orange juice and their cappuccinos are just perfect. The staff is friendly, which adds to the wonderful dining experience. The option to sit inside or outside is a bonus in the summer. Definitely recommended!
A rustic and cozy but modern caffe, which is my place for the whole day breakfast and the occasional lunch, with seats in the open for the hot london summer. they serve a lot of breakfast options from a healthy fruit smooth to a hearty, full English breakfast filled with an essential blood sausage. everything I had on the menu was great and the warm and welcoming staff always added this special note. When they stop for a snack, their coffees are well made and safe go for their sink and cheese croissant, which is from this world and if they order a sweet tooth a croissant with butter and jam and maybe a piece of carrot cake to wash it; they will not be disappointed with this beautiful caffe. be prepared to wait for a table at peak times and come to all the medium for their lunch menu dishes, which are also delicious!
Take a stroll through Holland Park or cycle towards Cafe Phillies if you are around West London. The place has a Barclays ride point just in front. At weekends, you will notice that the outdoor tables are full and few people are queuing as they have a very satisfactory breakfast menu. You can either eggs benedict, the bacon options with the bagels, toasted eggs, muffins or even frittatas and tortillas. On Saturdays and Sundays, pancakes are the bonus for passionate breakfast lovers. The salmon and cream cheese bagel and the eggs benedict were our choices on a cold autumn day, when you are searching for a cosy place to grab hot drinks and yummy food. Have not tried yet but seems that they have a daily special for the lunch and it's not just sandwiches and salads but a full mains offering such as rib steak and beans. As a mocha lover, I have also found what I am after in the flavour. the selection for tea is also quite convenient I did love the heavy, antique teapots they served. Dont mind the service, the waitress tries to be nice but might get confused at times: with your help, she will adjust : Across the Cafe Phillies, you have the Sticky Fingers make a firm decision before you enter so that you are not curious about the option you traded off.
The food is delicious and the service is excellent. It's the perfect spot for breakfast, brunch, or afternoon tea.
