Ocean Basket Paddocks - Kensington

I haven't had ocean basket in probably more than a year so last night we popped into the branch in Paddocks last night. I must say that this looks like one of the nicer Ocean Baskets I have been to. I actually think based on how it looks that it used to be a Cape Town Fish Market. I ordered the platter for 2 for the wife and I with some extra mussels for the wife. My daughter had the hake and calamari. No complaints about the platter for 2, everything on it was well cooked and tasty. The main reason I wanted to gone as purely for their mussel sauce...I could eat it on its own. I always order an extra bowl of it. Never disappoints. I was a little disappointed with my daughters hake. The batter lacked seasoning and the fish was not scaled properly. Service was friendly and efficient. I will definitely return to this Ocean Basket even if its just for that mussel sauce. I was so hungry I forgot to take pics of the food.

Best sushi in the area, I'm here virtually on a weekly basis for takeaway sushi. Fresh, tasty and never had an issue! I will always come back, thank you to the great staff at Ocean Basket Paddocks!
