Has a great musical play thing in the outdoor pavilion. They have locally grown food, though not organic. However...Disappointing food since their chef is gone. They had (no longer the very best gluten-free brownies, plus other items. Their egg sandwiches are always overcooked. Their chicken salad has *tough* chicken. They stopped their frequent buyer rewards, instead offering something for people who buy selections from the menu with a goat icon (really? .Open hours vary depending on when they have enough (or not staff.
What a delightful market in the middle of a rather industrial area, not far from the Mass. line. A terrific alternative to chain restaurants and grocers, this cafe has soups, sandwiches, salads, and fresh produce as well as a selection of local artisan products. Picnic tables abound, flowery greenhouse backdrops for you to enjoy your local beverages, and occasional live music. A Hot Box has pre-made sandwiches, including the weekly special (which was a Cubano Panini this week). We also had a Reuben which was excellent. Cold sandwiches, slaws, sides, and quiche varieties in the cold case. At least four soups were available, including a veggie bisque, which we hardly ever see.Friendly staff, welcoming atmosphere, rustic appeal. A hidden gem.
Great selection and people. nice outdoor Gazebo. Very rustic and love the soup and coffee.
The sandwiches are not on par with the price. The items from Karimah's Kitchen are mostly good however, highly priced, an items, such as the moussaka $11) are actually vegetarian versions, AKA chickpeas and eggplant.
I wanted to like it here. It 's a cute space and farm but the food was just OK. A very basic turkey sandwich, breaded tasted like generic white bread, no flavoring on the turkey, not even S&P to boost the flavor, and no idea what was actually 'local ' on the sandwich. We also got a Cobb Salad, again no idea what was 'local. ' The salad was nothing to be desired, not enough chicken and the green goddess dressing was so bland. Would be nice if they did a better job marketing what food items are from where. For all I know, the chicken, turkey and egg were from purdue yuck.
