3 Rivers Catfish Shack - Kensett

Breakfast is excellent! Homemade gravy topped it off! Down home southern style.

I was quite disappointed with my experience. The fish was not fresh and had a taste that suggested it was cooked in old oil. We had heard great reviews about this restaurant, but I likely won't return.

I ordered lunch for delivery, and it arrived hot and fresh! I had the catfish today, and it was packed with flavor. The portion sizes are fantastic as well—I’ll definitely have leftovers. Overall, the food is excellent!

While the main focus of 3 Rivers Catfish Cafe is indeed catfish, I noticed they also serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner, which means there’s more variety on the menu than just catfish. Upon arrival, I was quickly seated and greeted by a friendly waitress. I inquired about the catfish and the sides that came with it, and I decided on the 10-piece catfish dinner, which included fries, coleslaw, hush puppies, and onions. After approximately 10-15 minutes, my meal arrived, steaming hot. It featured a generous portion of fries topped with the 10 pieces of catfish and 3 hush puppies. The meal also included a small dish of coleslaw and several onion slices, along with a glass of tea. I eagerly dug in, and all the food was fresh and hot. The fish was cooked perfectly, with a simple yet flavorful breading that wasn't overwhelming. It tasted clean and delicious, without that "fishy" aftertaste—just the delightful essence of catfish. The hush puppies were cooked well and tasted great. I did wish for a jalapeño version, but these were still enjoyable. The coleslaw was uncomplicated but good, not overly sweet like some I’ve had, yet still a solid accompaniment. My total bill for the 10-piece catfish dinner with sides and tea came to $16, and I left feeling full. The portions were generous—larger than I’ve experienced at many other catfish restaurants. The prices on the menu were very reasonable, and if the portion sizes of my meal are any indication, this place could be quite affordable overall. On a day when I didn’t feel like driving 40 miles to Conway or 140 miles to Blytheville, discovering 3 Rivers Catfish Shack was a delightful surprise, and the catfish definitely lived up to my craving. I know for sure that I’ll be back for more catfish in the future. Thank you!
