Some of their food is bland and lacking any seasonings, like the fried ravioli I had (and adding meat to the dish is extra, jsyk . The waitress was rushing everywhere even though she only had 2-4 tables to attend to and even tried rushing me and my fiancé to pay when she came to collect our bill. Most main dishes are $14-50 which made the building and it’s ran down hardly maintained interior hard to swallow. I won’t deny that some dishes justify the prices, like the chicken dish my fiancé got which was huge, delicious, and quite an experience considering they give you 1/3 of a whole chicken fried and basted with whatever delicious mix they have in the back. We also ordered a side of calamari for an appetizer, my fiancé said they were better years ago since she hasn’t been in a while and my suspicion was that it was undercooked and soggy but it’s dipping sauce that it came with was amazing and saved the calamari (although we couldn’t stomach to finish it. Eat with caution, budget day night buyers beware.
The starters and some of the cocktails are good. But the main course is not really good. The food is expensive.
I recently went for the first time. Food was expensive, boring, no flavor to my haddock, sides were tasteless, broccoli was too tough. $50 for just me. Water to drink. Too loud to hold a conversation on a Wednesday at 5pm. My friend had the filet and she wasn't too excited about it. No plans of going back.
Friendly staff, excellent food, in a nice restaurant. Food was very reasonably priced. I had the elk burger, which I highly recommend, while my tablemates had scallops lobster ravioli , and chicken.(all were excellent). Make a reservation . Parking was tight but there is ample street parking nearby. Highly recommend.
Had a lovely meal here. They do a great job of keeping the menu fresh and unique!
