Madame Pho - Kenosha

This restaurant is fantastic! There are numerous vegan options available on the menu. The tofu spring rolls and vegan pho were absolutely delicious. I highly recommend this place. The service is excellent - they even remembered my order during my second visit! Last updated: 2021-08-13.

Ordered the pho expecting a savory dish, but unfortunately it was incredibly sweet with an over-powering taste of cinnamon. I strongly disliked it and didn’t eat it. The server asked how everything was and I told him I didn’t like it and that I won’t be eating it, he just kept smiling and asked if I needed a box and walked away. There was no manager on site to talk to. The spring rolls were good, but I highly recommend Saigon cafe as opposed to madame pho. Never asked if I wanted something different, never offered to take it off my bill, just gave me my check. All the while I’m trying to eat with an old friend, he finishes and leaves and I’m still hungry. Not great service.

This is the best beef fried rice I have ever tasted and also the marinated chicken leg with seasoned rice was so delicious!Me and hubby will be coming back. Also the servers was really nice and the place was comfortable.Food: 5/5

It seems we had a very similar experience as other unsatisfied customers. The one server, younger/bigger guy and the other server, non-English speaking, were both present when my family dined there last week. The younger server kept yawning the entire time he took our order, which only consisted of three things. We asked if he had a long day, which he replied with an eye roll, sighing, and a bored attitude. We explained that his attitude was not appropriate and that if he was having a bad day he should take it elsewhere. He explained his employers don’t pay him enough and that he was not being rude to us. I am Asian and my husband is Caucasian. He stated that as a fellow Asian, he was treating me with the utmost respect. Some time goes by and the next thing we know, the non-English speaking server and the younger one start tossing plates, cups, etc. into the dirty dishes bin near the front. Apparently, the older server was told by the younger server that we, the customer, was rude to the younger server. IF YOU HATE YOUR JOB, QUIT! Also, if he worked for me at my restaurant, I would be very embarrassed to have him as an employee.

This Vietnam restaurant is so awesome!! I get there at least twice monthly.Nice stuffs especially Henry always remembers my preference order and also flexibly arrange some menus to match with my preference!! Great!!
