The atmosphere was fantastic, creating a welcoming and enjoyable dining experience. I would rate the service highly, as the staff was attentive and friendly. However, the food didn't quite meet my expectations—while it was decent, it was just average. If you're planning to visit, I recommend trying the burger and fries; they were the standout dishes of the night. Overall, it's a nice spot to relax and enjoy a meal without breaking the bank.
Deciding on a cocktail was quite the challenge since they all sounded so appealing. For my main dish, I chose the grilled pork tenderloin. Though the chef recommends it be served medium rare, I personally prefer my pork well done. Admittedly, well-done meat can often be drier, but it wasn't noticeable thanks to the spiced apple compote that accompanied it. This dish also came with mashed sweet potatoes and sautéed green beans, which filled me with nostalgia for my home in Virginia. If you’re accustomed to gigantic portions, this restaurant may not meet your expectations, as the servings are more reasonable for a single person. Personally, I found this to be a refreshing change. Despite being full, my curiosity got the better of me, and I ordered the PBJ pizza (with a hint of jalapeños) to take home, as this place is renowned for its wood-fired pizzas. The PBJ pizza features house red sauce, mozzarella, pineapple, bacon, and jalapeños, and the bacon really stood out to me. Since I reheated it later, I can't fully judge its quality compared to when it’s fresh from the oven. I couldn’t resist grabbing a scoop of pistachio, cherry, and chocolate chip ice cream to go, and it certainly lived up to expectations. The service here is impeccable, with the team providing excellent attention from the moment you enter until you leave. I even witnessed a server stepping in to help a large table with drink service while waiting for their regular server to arrive, showcasing their dedication. The chef works in an open kitchen reminiscent of a diner, but don’t be deceived; the food here is of a much higher quality than typical diner fare. This spot is definitely one I’ll recommend to anyone who visits me in the Pacific Northwest in the future!
I thought Justyn and the owner, Kevin, were fantastic! The food was phenomenal, and we will definitely be returning. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
