Brothers' Cafe - Kenai

The baked goods and coffee were fantastic! The atmosphere is very welcoming for kids, and the prices are great. The service was prompt and friendly; the staff even tracked us down at the airport to return a lost jacket.

The food is incredibly delicious! The onion rings, fried mushrooms, and fries are outstanding. The atmosphere is clean and bright, offering a view of the runway. It's located inside the terminal.

They claim to have the best donuts in town, but a local roadside coffee shop makes better ones at a much more reasonable price. I paid almost $30 for just six donuts—do the math, and that means a dozen would cost $60! What is up with those prices? Plus, their location in the airport is quite odd. If you know how to make good donuts and are in the Soldotna/Kenai area, you could really succeed. Just look at the late Moose is Loose Bakery—when the owners retired, they left a significant gap in the community.

The service was friendly, but unfortunately, the food didn’t meet our expectations. I ordered a chicken sandwich, a chicken strip basket, and some fries for my kids. The chicken sandwich had a tough, rubbery texture and was unlike any chicken I’ve ever encountered; we couldn't eat it. I mentioned this to the waitress and sent it back, but there was no offer to remove the sandwich from our bill, even though we couldn’t eat it. It’s disappointing, especially considering how expensive dining out is these days. We rarely eat out, and on this occasion, we ended up with inedible food. The fries were also far too salty for our taste. Unfortunately, we won't be returning.

Terrible service and food! Everything was incredibly slow. Only three tables were occupied, while the rest were filthy. It took 45 minutes for my coffee to arrive, and just two minutes later, my breakfast came out—without any silverware!
