Freshwater Grill - Kempsey

Wonderful views of Macleay River and pleasant atmosphere. Staff and chefs are so friendly. Excellent Food and Daily Specials are good value.

During my recent trip to Charters Towers from Batemans Bay, I dined out almost every night. Without a doubt, the best meal I had was at this restaurant. The ribs were incredibly tender and packed with flavor. My wife ordered the $17 t-bone and she was impressed with both the value and taste. I highly recommend this place.

They have a spicy oven they cook in-OMG, they are the bomb!! Take out the taste I've never had. Usually quite busy, but worth waiting. Eat well.

This local club is very welcoming and has a great dining area, the Freshwater Grill, with magnificent views over the Macleay River. It offers the usual menu items and we were lucky to turn up early and place our order. We had been warned that Thursday night could be a problem because it was very busy and wanted to be pulled a hammock! Our dinner was fantastic oysters were fresh and amazing and the eye of the fillet fantastic melt in your mouth. A very pleasant dinner when you visit Kempsey here is a must.

A few colleagues here for dinner based on previous good experiences - and it just gets better. Large staff, beers and meals were great. A great combination.
