Cafe U - Kelso

We had a great selection of vegetarian options and decided to order a toastie and a panini, along with some coffee. The service was very prompt, and both the food and salads were delicious.

I just enjoyed what might be the best pancakes I've ever tasted. They were fluffy and thick with a wonderfully crisp outer layer, perfectly cooked, and generously drizzled with maple syrup. The staff were incredibly friendly, and the atmosphere was cozy, offering various seating options. There's even a refill station inside.

I had a toastie with vegan cheese and chutney, which was served alongside a delightful salad packed with greens, fruit, pulses, and couscous. It was so tasty! My husband enjoyed a delicious falafel and spinach burger as well. The server was also very friendly and engaged in great conversation!

Lovely cafe with extremely helpful staff. I had a hummus and sun dried tomato panini with a great salad! Not sure if there was any vegan desserts available as I didn’t have a look for those. Would definitely go again.

Popped in for a sandwich today after finding this little gem of a place on the Happy Cow app.... lots to choose from for a vegan and vegetarian and hands down the best (v salted caramel cheesecake I've ever had! Just heavenly. Lovely people and great service too. They are not exclusively vegan which is why I couldn't give them 5*s.....i tried!!Highly recommended and will visit again : And did I mention the cheesecake...?
