This small diner is popular among locals. The food is a combination of homemade and packaged items. The staff is friendly and the prices are lower than fast food restaurants. We ordered eggs Benedict and French toast with bacon, which cost us only $15. The food was well-prepared, with packaged hollandaise sauce but freshly made breakfast potatoes. I will definitely come back to try other items on the menu.
Tucked away in the corner of a commercial building I accidentally stumbled across this place, but I keep coming back! It is a Saturday morning classic. I feel like I am in grandmas kitchen every time I step in this place. It's a no frills diner that will cook you good food and serve you good coffee. Don't expect much more and you won't be disappointed.
McLean's Hunter Court Cafe is a small family-owned diner located in an industrial area. The prices are very reasonable and there is often a line up of regulars. You serve yourself for soup and drinks, and then order and pay at the counter. The food is cooked fresh to order and comes out hot. While the decor is simple, there are lots of homemade items on the menu including unexpected dishes like fried rice, chow mein, and won ton soup that are quite tasty. The carrot cake is a standout with mouth-watering cream cheese icing, walnuts, and no raisins. It's a great spot for a quick meal of soup, sandwich, and salad, paired with Cherry Hill coffee or tea. The restaurant was sold to a Chinese family in 2014 but the menu, food, and staff have remained mostly the same. The ambiance has changed slightly with new curtains, tablecloths, flooring, and TVs, but the great taste of the carrot cake remains unchanged. It's impressive that they are open as early as 5:00 am.
This restaurant is right across from Cherry Hill Coffee off Enterprise Way.....very hard to find, but so worth it when you find it. The bacon-mushroom burger I had was huge.....a great patty of pure beef, with lots of mushrooms. And very tasty! Same with the fries, which appear to be totally home cooked. I looked at the menu, and all the prices seemed very reasonable. The atmosphere? Totally relaxed and unpretentious.I will be back!
