Kelowna Yacht Club

My wife and I had dinner as part of a group of 16. Our server was very attentive and prompt, made a good suggestion about wine, and was cheerful. Everyone else ordered something off the menu, and I ordered the BBQ grill special of the evening — shaved prime rib with a couple of salads to choose from and chips. I waited for the other meals to arrive before going up to the BBQ grill to get my meal. But about 5 minutes before the meals started arriving, I just happened to notice the Grillmaster wheeling a cart away with all the food...he was shutting it down! I ran over to catch him, and did manage to get a plate of beef with 1 of the salads (not the one I would have preferred) and a large bowl of chips. I'm not really fussy about my food, so I was okay, but I would have much preferred if I'd gotten the beef freshly shaved and hot, plus the other salad. Everyone else thought their meals were great. My wife had the Chorizo & Spinach Flatbread, and it was delicious...looked like a well-garnished pizza.

Attended the yacht club restaurant with friends. Food was hearty, inexpensive with great service . We sat on the balcony overlooking the docks. Nice breeze and was at the heart of the community. Facility is beautiful and well kept.

We stopped in with some friends who are members. Membership required to get in. The food is just ok here. We've had the fish and chips (oily), and a burger (frozen patty). They've got a nice 2nd floor patio over the lake, and always have good selection of beer on tap, and a good wine list. The staff is uninspired.

As a long time member of the yacht club, I typically only go here to have a couple of drinks. The food has always been substandard. Not eve close to the quality of the food served downstairs at The Cactus Club.

Great location and facilities but a poor, limited menu choice. When the food was served, portions very small which was disappointing as the prices were then very high for what you got. The old menu was much better value.
