Ihop - Kelowna

My mother and I are in town for medical reasons, and since she had never been to IHOP before, we decided to try a variety of meals over the past two weeks. However, today we had a completely different and disappointing experience. Our orders were incorrect, and when we brought this to the server's attention, she argued with us instead of resolving the issue. We were not offered any complimentary items, and we ended up paying full price. We both left feeling that we would never eat at IHOP again. The service was unkind and the food was subpar.

This used to be our favorite spot for family breakfasts, but that's no longer the case. The restaurant is in disrepair, the staff is not well-groomed, and they seem to be understaffed. As a result, there's a long wait for food that is just average.

I’ve visited IHOP for breakfast on numerous occasions, but today I decided to try lunch. I opted for the Senior Special Berry Salad, and what a disappointment it turned out to be! It was little more than a side salad, featuring a tiny slice of avocado that was barely worth a single bite and just one strawberry, chopped up. I definitely do not recommend ordering that dish. I'm unlikely to return. For the same price, I could have enjoyed a clubhouse sandwich at Denny's, complete with coffee. I believe I should get better value for my money!

We enjoyed our brunch. I had a Build your own omelette . Despite the restaurant being extremely busy, the staff was willing to accommodate my food allergies, but unfortunately I found a couple of pieces of the allergen on my plate. One was on top of the omelette, so that was easy to remove, but the other was buried in the omelette. In the end I didn 't have any adverse reaction. If you have a problem with gluten, beware! The menu says they add a bit of pancake mix to their omelettes.

Very nice service, on 2 different occasions we had both servers be very kind and answered all our questions (about gluten free items, of which there are a few!)Dietary restrictions: Gluten free pancakes and waffles, plus a variety of dishes.
