Dockside Grill - Kawartha Lakes

Awesome food. I believe they have wing night on Wednesday. Very reasonable prices..right near the locks

My boyfriend and I came here with two other family members. We were visiting the area from his cottage and were hungry. We picked this place because it said breakfast. When we walked in it was semi busy. Part of the reason this rating is so low is because of service. It took a while for the people working their to notice us and they told us to sit somewhere. The lady was not overly friendly. The waitress was really nice and took our order and brought our drinks in a timely manner. That's where it goes downhill. It took us an hour to get our food. It wasn't even super busy. There was also no communication as to why it was taking so long or when we would get our food. She came over once to apologize. Unless they only had one cook, there was no reason to wait that long. It just took up a lot of our day. The food was decent though. We enjoyed it. It's just not worth the wait or poor service.

We were staying at a cottage nearby and thought we would go to Fenelon Falls for a afternoon out, decided to try out Dockside Grill, we were told abruptly there was no space, we were willing to wait and eat in separate parties and they still said no very rudely, obviously they don't need the business, won't be returning and I would advice anyone not to go after being treated like that! This family restaurant is fantastic! They offer daily specials and generous portion sizes.

The food at this restaurant is decent, and the atmosphere is simple. I visited for lunch on a Saturday in mid-September. It wasn't very crowded, but they only had one server. The service was average.
