When I arrived and asked about the vegan options, I was told that the only one she had at the moment was the Mock-Eel, which she seemed extremely regrettable. it came in a set with suppe and pickled vegetables. before my meal came, I was offered to choose between warm green tea and fresh water. the plastered vegetables seemed very tasty as I was served a lot of them, it was delicious and pretty salty. the suppe had a very mild taste, nothing too special, but ok, as it was by no means the main point of the meal. the rice tasted as if he were a really good quality of rice. I have not tested unagi (eel) before so I don't know how compared it with the real art, but I really liked it, there was a really nice balance of taste with some umami flavor to flavor. the restaurant is located in a traditional Japanese house, so the atmosphere is really cool! you need to remove your shoes before you get in. the personal wears kimono (or yukata, which I cannot remember). there are several small rooms and since the restaurant was not really busy I was alone in one room, but there were other customers in other rooms.

We order both the vegan menu, everything was delicious and traditionally prepared. beautiful presentation!

Egg/milk clearly labelled they understand veganism fairly well. Great to have an option in Kawagoe! The menu included soba, sushi and tempura, all delicious. Quiet and relaxing place, really friendly staff (though they don't speak English).
