This place comes well recommended and was completely packed starting at 5 pm on a Saturday, in a pretty remote area in the Fall. Pros Great view of the lake if you're by a window, really beautiful. Big menu, reminded me of YardHouse. Pretty big portions. Great kids menu. Friendly staff. Cons A small place that's completely full at 5:30pm doesn't need blasting house music. The wine pours are short and not cheap. Brownie Sundae had a very small hard brownie. Advice Ask the staff what dishes to get/avoid they'll steer you.
Great local spot with a good variety of beers on tap and great food options. I took my fiancé here for her birthday and we had the goat cheese pesto ravioli and the seafood Arabia. Both great and large quantities, we were stuffed. Very friendly service as well. Highly recommend a visit if you’re in town.
My burger was excellent, a five star meal; It was the best I've had in a long while, perfectly cooked, crispy and charred on the outside and juicy on the inside. The spicy pickles here are an interesting touch, the lettuce was crisp and fresh, the tomato perfect. The fries were also absolutely delicious, cut much thinner than I've seen elsewhere. My date's meal was a little less exhilarating; Arugula and roasted mushrooms on grilled cheese sounded good in principle but tasted bitter in practice. The view from the outdoor deck was beautiful. My reason for docking the star however, comes not from the food or view, but from other sources. For example, the palm-sized ball of human hair and dust that blew back and forth between the door and my table for the duration of my meal, chased by concerningly abundant flies which flew in our faces and landed on our food; The speakers played a maddening, endless string of soulless modern reggae songs that sounded like the same single tune stuck on repeat; and the waitress, while efficient and kind to us, seemed to be the only person waiting on every single customer in the place by herself. I watched in dismay as she carried a customer a shot of liquor to a customer between her fingers instead of on a tray (an especially bad idea during COVID-19), an unnoticed stream of spilled drink pouring from the overfilled glass and onto the floor; shortly after, I was further distressed to see her pick up and throw crumbs from one of the tables into the lake, which simply isn't an acceptable food waste receptacle and might explain the flies. If it wasn't for the truly impressive burger these factors would have brought it down to 3.5 or 3 stars.
Located on the lake, this place is perfect to sit and enjoy some leaf action. I had the cheeseburger, but it was way to salty.(I'll blame the blue cheese, which was my own choice). The French onion soup was just right on a cool day.
Very good food!! From the appetizers to dessert just really good food. Fried calamari is perfectly cooked with an amazing lemon garlic aioli, fantastic whiskey bbq crispy chicken wings, delicious bulgogi beef bowl, and so much more. They have outdoor seating during the warmer months which is quite relaxing overlooking Lake Kauneonga.
