Moon's Fried Chicken-cafeteria

The BEST fried chicken I've had in a loooong time! This little place is tucked away on the road behind the Circle K and WELL worth going to. It is VERY clean and comfortable. The staff treats you like family or better! The food is menu and/or buffet. Everything I got was just like Grandma would make and she was a GREAT cook!!

This homestyle restaurant is a gem hidden in plain sight. Now having tried this place, I intend to eat here every time I'm on the road through Kaufman. This restaurant is wonderful, and the city is blessed to have a place of tradition like this. You can't find this in Dallas.

Reminds me of my high school lunch but the food is better and price is not bad. It's hidden away behind circle K. Parking: Plenty of room plus a drive thru.

The food is always very good. Best fried chicken anywhere. Nicest humble people. Love the comfortable atmosphere. Alex and her family are just good people.Also..the best pies!They also make fried catfish, cfc, french fries by order . Quickly made delicious! Vegetarian options: There are always several vegetarian selections. Dietary restrictions: Baked chicken, fish, fresh veggies salads! Parking: Plenty of parking and the usual handicap spaces available. Kid-friendliness: There are highchair and boosters for children if needed. Foods as well that kids like!

We love to go to Moons on Thursdays because they have enchiladas baked pork chops! Today I had the baked pork chop, and it was delicious!! Their Jalapeno corn bread is unmatched! I highly HIGHLY recommend Moons. Their staff is always very friendly!
