So, I placed an online order from Cracker Barrel Old Country Store for curbside pickup. The app indicated a 20-minute wait. Upon arriving, I alerted the app that I was there for pickup and listened to the news on satellite radio. After waiting 20 minutes, I called the store to check on my order. The person who answered said it wasn 't ready yet. When I pointed out that I hadn 't given my name, she replied that she 'd bring it out when it was ready. I waited another 10 minutes before going inside to request a refund. The cashier said a manager was needed for a refund and went to get one. She returned saying the manager was too busy and asked for my name and number, promising the manager would handle it later. I replied that I would wait. After another 10 minutes, making it an hour in total, I asked if my food was ready. The cashier went to check and returned to tell me they were out of mac 'n cheese. I then asked for a refund. I waited another 10 minutes for the manager. Now beyond an hour, I went to the kitchen door to speak to the manager. She came out with a cell phone to her ear, saying she had the police on the line. I heard her describe me as a Black female in my late 30s (I 'll take the compliment). She told the dispatcher that I was belligerent. I replied that I hadn 't raised my voice or used profanity and would wait outside for the police. As I waited, I decided to go and let corporate deal with this, thinking, You have time to call the police but not to process my refund?!
This location seems to Always have a very long wait time with half the tables Always empty.
The food was great as expected. However, the women's bathroom had a strong unpleasant smell that lingered all the way to the dining area.
Our server, Misty was very sweet and attentive. She made our experience brighter! She's an asset to your company!
I went to Cracker Barrel in Tuscaloosa today and was disgusted with the Southern Fried Chicken. There were 4 pieces; a breast, thigh, wing, and leg. All was well overcooked. It wasn’t burned but The crust on the outside on all pieces was hard as a rock. You could barely break it open and when I did the breast was so dry you couldn’t eat it. In the other three pieces it was like the meat had disintegrated. There was no meat, just bone! The waitress came by and wanted to know if I needed a to go box because my plate was full of rock hard crust and bones. I showed it to her and told her that I couldn’t eat it. She said that she was sorry and said she would bring me the check. I thought she may have taken it off but she charged me full price. I probably should have taken it to the manager but I didn’t. I won’t be back and won’t recommend Cracker Barrel to anyone else.
