Poulet Chicken Food - Katoomba

With no chain store chicken restaurants in the mountains, Poulet's is the closest you can get to a KFC craving. Sometimes we want this chicken more than KFC. The flavour is totally addictive.

Typical fast food chicken. Service was prompt and since it was a small piece the nice guy behind the counter actually added an extra piece to the bag. Seasoning is pretty good too.

Guy behind counter was rude and arrogent towards a young kid ordering food..kid waited patiently for his food and guy took his money, then refused to give young lad what he purchased....not a good look poulets....

During peak times, they cut their chicken pieces in half, and then consider this as "1" piece of chicken to make their stocks go further. I don't like that and I think that am being ripped off. Otherwise, their fried chicken and chips are very tasty. Hygiene leaves a bit to be desired to.

I cannot believe the bad reviews I've seen on here - I grew up in katoomba, and as far back as I remember ever trying it, Poulets has been my favourite place to eat ever. Great fried chicken, but the best part is the chips covered in their chicken salt - its the best chicken salt I've ever had, and I always make sure to go there to eat at least once each time I go back to visit family there.
