Ka Moo Boran - Kathu

Arrived at 11+am on Tuesday, not crowded at all. Must order the crispy roast pork! Braised pork leg rice THB80 was a generous portion. Their soup is peppery and very addictive.

Hands down, best noodle soup I had in my life! If you come, I’d recommend you try every single type of pork they serve (that’s what I did) they’re all delicious, succulent, full of flavor and tender. Must try if you’re in Phuket.

Nice little stop right by the main road (kinda nondescript tbh) for pork leg rice and hainanese chicken rice! Heard of Khao soi from other reviews but didn't see it on the menu. Comes with slightly different soups for the dishes, very peppery for the pork leg rice, slightly less so for chicken rice. Both were quite nice, coupled with the sauce they gave. Found the gravy to be lacking flavour, maybe because it was early in the day. Good service and very affordable. 80 baht for each dish. Milk tea was 20 baht.

The rice was not super chicken-y but still complex tasting. I suspect because of some spices. The Chicken itself was just okay. Not too amazing. It was just a smidge overcooked. Broth was warm tasting with a hint of sweetness. The liver was really good! My favorite bite was piece of liver with a small piece of garlic and maybe a drop of one of the chili sauces. Stewed meat was fatty and really rich with the right amount of spices to cut through the fat. Pickled mustard greens also balance the fattyness. I just wish there was a bit more of the picked greens on the plate. Overall, a really good meal. Did have a food coma afterwards though.

Went there at 10am on a Saturday, the resturant was abt 1/4 filled with customers. Serving of the food was rather fast. Had a pork intestines with leg served wigh rice. The taste was wonderful, with no noticable porky smell from the intestines. The pork leg was very tender and nice. Overall a very good experience. Sufficient bike parking right in front of the shop.
