The Finch Cafe - KATHERINE SOUTH

This is pretty decent Chinese food Plus side is that the service was very friendly.

A funky cafe with inside and outside seating (shaded by the trees) and friendly staff. The food was great with a selection of yummy home made cakes (brownies, caramel slice, muesli slice, banana and coconut bread ...), toasties, salads, homemade pies, smoothies and great coffee. Don't miss it if you are in Katherine!

This is a really popular cafe in the centre of town. As well as their coffee, they have a decent breakfast and lunch menu. It's small so expect to wait if it's busy. Friday nights in the dry season they open the back garden as a wine bar and usually have live music. It's really popular with locals, and a very pleasant way to spend an evening.

The Finch was such a surprise to find in Katherine. Where most places had awful food, the Finch provided with modern and unique meals and great coffee. The staff were lovely, the setup was cool and they have some handmade local items for sale, which was a perfect non-tacky souvenir.

Stopped in for lunch here. Coffee was great, sandwich was super tasty. So wonderful to have a contemporary cafe with such yummy options in Katherine. I highly recommend the smoothies.
