Il Caminetto - Karlsruhe

Long we've been looking for the Italian and found him in the il caminetto. the lasagne is the hammer, the pizzen wonderful tasty...can I recommend only.

Owned by Italians, here you can find one of the best pizza in Karlsruhe and a lot of typical Italian dishes. Prices are ok.

Eating was very good. the service very friendly and accommodating. the ambiente could be a bit more comfortable.

Located a short distance from the Schloss this apparently family-run establishment serves typical, traditionally prepared Italian food so do not expect a gourmet experience. Beer and wine are available with the open wine choices reasonably priced. Although pizza is the hallmark and the selections are almost innumerable, I chose to go with more traditional meal, veal parm with spaghetti which was served with a salad. The taste, ingredients, and preparation were comparable to what one might get in an “Italian chain restaurant” in the States. The veal was so-so, the mozzarella on the stingy side, and I would have expected a bit more spaghetti.

Restaurant with a cozy atmosphere and good service. Many options in the menu, and I highly recommend their pizza.
