Strandkanten - Karlskoga

This restaurant is located and the edge of the lake Möckeln in Karlskoga and has outside service as well as 2 floors with tables inside. Nice outside surroundings with trees and lawns and view over the lake. It is a popular restaurant with plenty of parking outside. Service was good. At ground floor you first pick up your veggies, bred etc. Had fish (Cod) and it was very nice. The meals are of good size, so you get nicely filled up. Some of us had veggie burger and said it was a bit salty, otherwise OK. The place is very clean and the personell glad to assist with any special requests. To me it seamed to be a restaurant with good Swedish food. I can certainly recommend this restaurant.

We were travelling through the area, and found Strandkanten on Trip Advisor. With sunshine and wind it felt like a great day to have dinner by the lake and we were not disappointed. Staff was very helpful and forthcoming from we first rang them and through our visit, bringing water for the dogs that could stay with us on the lower terrace. The food tasted great, not that many choices though, but we thoroughly enjoyed our pike after a great taste trio of tastes as appetizer. The surroundings were marvellous: Red old wooden buildings, big trees, green lawns and flowers, and close to the lake.

This place is a good place in a beautiful setting next to the lake Möckeln. The food is very simple butthe kitchen is excellent at adjusting the dishes when you have strong preferences or allergies. The staff is very smiley and accomodating! Would recommend to anyone visiting Karlskoga.

This Place have an Amazing view... its not the cheapest Place but i recommend it for an occation dinner or business dinner. Food is excellent and the staff helpful.

Strandkanten is located on Karlskoga lake, Möckeln, in a very picturesque location. The restaurant has the same style of the nearby hotel, a bit shabby chic, but elegant and cosy. I remember the dinner to be very worthy, even if a bit pricey, with a great atmosphere, nice food and an impeccable service. It was a great evening and I would recommend this restaurant to anyone that wants to have a special moment eating well prepared food.
