My wife ordered a seafood claypot dish. She asked that oil and salt be reduced by 80 and the dish was done to her perfect healthy taste. As i was not hungry I shared the dish with her and found it delicious. We will come back to try the other dishes. However our dining was spoilt by cigarette smoke wafting into the dining area from the workers smoking outside and the restaurant door would not close properly. We reported it to the manager.
I first tried this restaurant after spotting fish head on the specials menu board. It was a novelty to eat this crispy deep fried dish that was served as a side dish to pickled mustard greens and rice vermicelli noodle soup. The fish head turned out to be meaty wings. I thoroughly enjoyed my adventure! Later, I tried the szechuan steamed chicken, as a meal with soup and steamed rice. I soon discovered this restaurant serve the steamed/poached chicken cold. However, I enjoyed my meal since the food was well cooked, and the fiery chilli was hot enough, to my liking. The serving was generous. I visited on Monday for lunch. There was no rush, and the place was not too busy. The lunch specials are aroubd $9-12.
A little history about ten ten kitchen.<br/ They have this secret menu. Its the crispy chicken. Its super good. Probably the best chicken rice i ever eaten in perth. Its tender and crispy. The sauce is so so good. They dont write it in their menu. You must ask for it. If im not mistaken its only available in ten ten house karawara.<br/ <br/ They bought the recipe from one restaurant called 'luncheon forum ' in myaree. Google 'luncheon forum ' and click image. Youll see the crispy chicken that ten ten kitchen selling now. They already closed years ago. I was in perth from 2006-2010. I miss the crispy chicken. I ate the chicken like 2-3x every week. Coz its so good!<br/ <br/
A type of you take mum and dad. Decent food, clean and air-conditioned environment.<br/ <br/ I ordered the beef brisket noodle and mum had the dry wonton noodle soup. Wasn’t their best dishes, I still stand by Ten Ten’s Hofun with Egg Sauce is the best in Perth but heck I thought I’d try something different this time!<br/ <br/ The beef brisket wasn’t tender enough but still tasted good to pass the test to finish the meal. Would prefer a bit more sauce, coming from Malaysia myself. <br/ <br/ The dry wonton noodle had great taste in the noodles but the char siu lacked in tenderness.<br/ <br/ Overall was just over passable experience this time around. Will be back again in near future to one of Perth’s better known places to have Malaysian hawker cuisine.
