Hee Fat General Store - Kapaa

The best ice cream on the island! We make sure to visit several times whenever we're in Kauai. We absolutely love the fresh fruit syrups and the macadamia nut ice cream. Our favorites are the Lava Flow (as shown in the picture) and the Hawaiian Sunrise.

This is the best shave ice we've had in Kauai, and we tried several places! The owner prepares his own syrups every morning using fresh fruit. We tried the coconut and mango flavors, and they were fantastic. I can't wait to go back!

I came across this restaurant while searching for the best shaved ice, and I'm so glad I did! The portion of shaved ice was massive—much larger than I expected. Despite hoping for a bit more ice, this spot is definitely a must-visit. We topped our dessert with lihing mui, and the combination of the salty flavor with the sweetness was delightful!

The POG was just a single POG syrup, you don't get a three-color razor ice here. But still very good. The coconut ice cream was solid.

So good we went twice. I love the tropical flavors and you can't go wrong with either the vanilla or mac nut ice cream in the middle of your shave ice.
