The Wa has been my favorite sushi restaurant since I was first introduced to sushi there over 15 years ago. Although it’s been while thanks to the pandemic my husband I went even though reviews are currently negative. Don’t listen to the negative reviews. Portions are still the same and the food was delicious!! The only thing I was sad about was the French roll no longer being on the menu.
I had the fried rice and yum yum crunch roll and I don’t recommend either. The rice was salty and the sushi was not good. The food does not taste fresh. The price is a bit higher than other places, but would be reasonable if the food was good. I recommend Tokyo Sushi instead.
PLEASE DO NOT EAT HERE! I got food poisoning from eating nigiri from here. This was the only thing I ate that my husband did not and only I got sick. I already thought that our meal there yesterday was the worst sushi I’ve ever had due to the quality. The mackerel nigiri felt fibrous- almost like cooked fish. I’m pretty sure it was old. The salmon roe was like salmon roe raisins, they were so shriveled. Either they froze and thawed them repeatedly or the roe was old. I really cannot stress enou … – show
Probably the best sushi in town, but it is on the expensive side.
