Ruby Jean's Kitchen Juicery

AMAZING! While on vacation from Virginia, the Kansas City heat was overwhelming. I was looking for something light and refreshing. I came across Ruby Jean's on the Black Restaurant Week list and decided to give it a try. It definitely exceeded my expectations. Even my fitness trainer boyfriend enjoyed it. The Butter Crunch and No Crust PBJ smoothies were both delicious. We also got the vegan Nachos to go, and the "cheese" tasted just like real dairy cheese.

I am really impressed with Ruby Jean's menu and concept! They do not use refined sugar in any of their drinks or products, opting for natural sweeteners like fruit and agave instead. As someone who cannot consume dairy, I appreciate having so many delicious options to choose from on their menu. Their products are tasty and the restaurant itself is charming. I especially enjoy their smoothies and can't wait to try more flavors.

If you haven't gone yet, you must give this restaurant a try. The service is excellent and the staff is friendly. The atmosphere is very relaxed and the establishment is clean. I tried a few items from the menu and was thoroughly impressed with all of them. My favorite was the cold pressed juice - I can't wait to try all the flavors. I hope they open a location closer to the west side of Kck soon, but until then, the drive is definitely worth it.

I'm having the Veg Out. It's awesome. Slightly sweet, earthy, and light. It has been too long since I was here, but it's gotten EVEN BETTER. I forgot to take a picture before I starting drinking cuz it was so good, but I had the 24 Carrot blend. Holy cow, slightly sweet also, but so much flavor and I can't like if had an energy drink. The ambience is so warm and inviting with tons of plants and amazing artwork. I could have sat here for 2 more hours and the price is worth every penny.

I have had the pleasure of visiting this establishment and meeting the owner Chris on numerous occassions. Chris is one of the most kind-hearted, community oriented people I have ever come across. His staff is incredibly hospitable, and the smoothies are delicious. I will always support this business not only because of their great food and smoothies, but because of the larger mission of the organization and the work they do in the community. THANK YOU!
