Ocean Prime - Kansas City

Listen, if you want to impress someone special, this is the place! The service was top-notch, the appetizers were amazing (especially the calamari), and the main dishes were excellent. I was blown away by the drinks (especially the pineapple picante and black orchid cocktails). It's a truly upscale experience, from the atmosphere to the service to the presentation of the dishes and flavors.

This restaurant is fantastic for fine dining and the recommended dishes are delicious. We celebrated my wife's birthday here and she received excellent service from our amazing servers, Jevene and Denise. For our appetizer, we had the Surf N Turf which included Scallops, Braised Short Rib, and Gremolota. My wife's main course was the special, Halibut with Parmesan truffle fries on the side, and I had the Chilean Sea Bass with whipped Potatoes. We finished off the evening with warm Butter cake, which was the highlight of the meal.

The restaurant was amazing and the service was outstanding. Our waiter was knowledgeable and helped us choose our entrees. The only reason I gave it four stars was because the oysters were a bit disappointing - they were small for the price. The restaurant has a modern and romantic atmosphere, perfect for special dates and anniversaries. I would highly recommend it.

My wife and I had a incredible Dinner at Ocean Prime for our 13th Anniversary. The service and the food was probably too two in Kansas City. Hands down the best and freshest sushi around. My wife had the Dynamite Roll and loved it.she had the diver scallops with parmesan risotto as her Entree and loved it. I had the ocean roll and I have never had seafood that fresh around here. From the time I walked in the door, being seated was no wait, top notch customer service, phenomenal ambiance and the teriyaki salmon w/ sticky rice paired perfectly with a green apple walnut house salad! Absolutely on point!???? I have a citrus allergy and the chef made accommodations with no hesitation! Will most definitely be dining here again! Best dining experience in KC and I?ve been here awhile.
