We had a great meal here after a long day with our Tuktuk driver. The curry and rice dishes tasted authentic and at home. A cold tiger beer rinses it off. I appreciate the No-Nonsense style. It is not designed to provide hipsters or excessively touristy. It's just a tasteful restaurant that's clean and well-stocked, and happens to make excellent food! The view of the river is the right winner here. When we came to lunch, it was relatively quiet and so a treat to eat with this view. Something else to note is that the bathrooms were clean. Not always the case, and I think it says a lot about a place. I hope the owner keeps all these qualities as it will certainly draw more and more customers when they do.

The most important is that they do not accept credit cards. only cash. food service was very good. they will get a great view when they eat in this restaurant.

Decent tourist place with great views! I liked the court with Gourd. Generally, the restaurant is okay, so it's more about the view!

Our tuktuk driver brought us here after a day of sightseeing for lunch. We were very delighted as the place is beautiful with amazing views of the river. The ambience is decent and very clean. The staff were all friendly and very helpful in describing the menu items. We ordered the fish curry rice and chicken curry rice and along with which they served us 4 types of vegetable dishes and daal and papads. All the food was delicious with very generous portions. One of the vegetable dishes was vine mango which was something new for us and it was lovely. They also have a great selection of drinks as well. Great place for a meal with ample portions of good food and beer, great views and impeccable service. Not very expensive either (Meal for 2 with a couple beers cost us about 2500LKR approx. 15USD)
