Twisted Olive - Kamloops

I ordered the Arctic Char. It was very moist and so delicious. I tried the cous cous and found that I'm not a fan so next time I'll just substitute for something else. I also ordered Bacon Kale Caesar Salad which was amazing. The small size was ample to go with a full meal. My husband ordered the Filet Mignon with Prawns and said it was done perfectly and was delicious. The service was excellent and we liked the ambience. We'll be back for sure. It is nice to have this higher-end restaurant in the Aberdeen area where one can dress casually or dressy.

I had the eggs benedict with bacon and fresh fruit. They make their own bread (delicious), hollandaise sauce so light and smooth, eggs cooked to perfection the way I wanted, fresh fruit. I would definitely go there again. Chef Andy is very personable and welcoming.

After receiving a $200 gift certificate from my realtor, I decided to take a night off from unpacking and go out for dinner on Aug 1/17. I took a friend and we ordered the eggplant dish and the mac and cheese dish, both of which were quite good. Our bill came to just under $60. When we presented our gift certificate to the waiter we were advised that we had to forfeit the entire $200 gift certificate or pay cash.We told him we expected they would take $60 off and give me a $140 gift certificate to use at a later date. We were told that's not how it works. They said we had to come in with a large party of guests and use the entire $200...or use it for less but not get the balance on another g/c.The owners came to our table and told us this themselves! They told us we were ridiculous for not understanding that's how it works.I have received thousands of dollars of g/c's in my life and have always received the full value in product.We paid the bill and left the waiter a 20% tip. If the owners treat him like they treat their customers, he could probably use the $10!But I will never recommend or visit the Mittz restaurants again.

Shared chopped salad. Wings. Short Rib pasta. 4 glasses wine. Great server. Not busy. Sort of modern decor. Portion size very good. We shared everything.

I stayed at a hotel up the road and wandered down to this place as I heard it was affiliated with a restaurant downtown that has a great reputation. I had an amazing pasta dish with braised short rib. My friend had a risotto that he absolutely loved. On top of that we had a great server! Should I be back in town I’d eat here again.
