The service is prompt! What I find very hard to understand is these places that sell meat/poultry seem to have FAKE gravy and it tastes HORRID. A little pricy unless you have coupons~just Google Mary Brown's and the city your in and you can get coupons :) The chicken wrap, though tasty, was very expensive for what you received!
I was out on a Sunday afternoon to pick up a few groceries. I stopped at a store I don't often frequent. I spotted this place across the parking lot. I have never heard of this restaurant before today. I ordered a pulled chicken sandwich. In a few minutes I was handed a paper bag. I decided to take it home to eat. By the time I opened the bag the bun was sticking to the cardboard carton, both top and bottom. I loved the tangy sauce and the generous portion of chicken. No napkins in the bag, so had I tried to eat this in my car it may have been a disaster. The sandwich self-destructed in no time. I found a small bone in the chicken, luckily before I put it in my mouth. Delicious, but very messy sandwich.
My husband picked up chicken, popcorn chicken, fries & gravy. Not that good. Gravy was salty, chicken was greasy. Fries were wedges shriveled up. Clerk said she was making it fresh. I wish we hadn't gone here.
Read some good reviews of this franchise from eastern Canada.wasnt that impressed.tried the fried chicken and chicken sandwiches. fried chicken was very overated.very dry and all the coating fell off.lol.sandwich was ok but expensive.i think their on sale on Mondays. worst onion rings ever. this restaurant is kinda out of the way as well.unless you live in the neighborhood don't bother. a wendys spicy chicken sandwich is better and cheaper.
We went at around 5 pm on a Sunday and I figured we'd be the only customers in the place; I was wrong. It's not a large restaurant but it was packed, and mostly by people waiting to take away their food, not dine in. That said, we were able to order quickly and it took about 10 minutes to receive our food.I've seen reviews of other locations and most reference the fact that the chicken is better than KFC, and from what we tasted I'd have to agree. Prices are close but the quality is better and there is decidedly less grease. The hot wings I had - though mushy (and probably because they were soaking in the sauce) - were not at all greasy and the flavor was really good. The potato wedges were nicely coated, crisp and flavorful; same with the chicken strips. The menu is limited but they know what they do best and that IS chicken and taters so why mess around. I also like that combos include canned soda which seems to provide more options than your standard fountain drink offerings (at least in Canada). This is fast food, and while there are specials listed at low prices, most combos will ring in around the eleven or twelve dollar mark plus tax, but that will fill most people up (they also include a small salad choice).I was happy to see how busy the location was since they are new and this isn't in a really high traffic area, especially on a Sunday. All in all, if in the area and wanting some good chicken and potatoes, I'd return, and maybe even use the drive-thru.
