Verve Coffee Kamakura Yukinoshita

Great coffee that you can see they take pride in making it. It was a bit pricey and kinda small Americano. The place has a minimal look and feel to it. The lady serving was very friendly and helpful when I was deciding what to order.

Verve is a specialty coffee roaster from California. They also have five shops in Japan: three in Tokyo and two in Kamakura. The one is central Kamakura is modern, spacious and inviting. When we visited, six of their roasts were available for pour-over, five of them single origins. You can even try them before you order. I found the flavor differences rather subtle; all of them tasted slightly overextracted and had a somewhat bitter, dry finish. The washed Kenyan I eventually went for was nonetheless a pleasant cup. They also have teas, cold brew and espresso-based drinks (e.g. cappuccino, rosemary honey latte, espresso tonic . The food menu comprises sandwiches, waffles, cakes and more. We had the grilled cheese and red hot tuna sandwiches—both were great! (We would have liked to try the pastrami avocado sandwich, but they had run out of it.

Great café! They have multiple vegan options (food and drinks), well declared. Hipster style, very modern café. The sandwich was very good! The staff was lovely and very helpful.Would come again here

A really relaxing café with vegan and vegetarian options. So many drinks with vegetable milk available with no extra charge for the substitution. Fun and original options, so delicious! The sandwiches are very nice. Surprising flavors and well cooked, served at the perfect point. The staff is very helpful and kind. Very nice music too!

One of the few places in the area that open early. Loved the seasonal coffee with it's unique taste and the ricotta cheese and the raspberry-apple jam waffles, especially cos it's not too sweet.
