A Taste of the Philippine Islands This bakery, and their Panorama City location, sells pampagueño tamales. Valerio’s is the only place I know that sells them. The masa is very fine. The whole thing is savory. It’s wrapped in banana leaves. Not sure if pampangueño tamales come in different types, but the ones that Valerio’s sells have chicken and sliced boiled egg inside. *Side Note: The spinach and tomatoes in one of the pictures was made by me. Definitely not available at Valerio’s.
This is a filipino bakery selling philippine pastry for pinoys looking for the taste of home. In fact its better... The pandesal is 2.5 larger that what we can get in Manila. The hopia specially the mongo (my favorite) is not that expensive and has given me a break from missing those pastry from my home country. The staff are also friendly and will give you discount when they are about to close.
Bought some mostly baked pan de coco with pasty coconut inside it. This bakery needs to step up their baking. There’s much to be said about their customer service. You’ll understand if you’re non-Asian.
