Definitely came for the food and while the presentation and quality was great some items were way too salty and I like salt. Starting off with the good as this is not meant to bash but instead inform. Ordered the younger kids a shrimp plate and catfish plate which came with one side each we chose fries for both. Both were lightly breaded which was a plus, perfectly seasoned, and tasted so fresh and clean if that makes sense. They were not skimpy lil shrimp either. Was really impressed with both entrees and the fries were fried to perfection. Hubby had the Creole pasta dish which was flavored nicely, so yummy. Older daughter had the Voodoo chicken dark meat with macaroni and fries. She was advised the rub was not spicy more on the sweet side. She thought the chicken was really good as well as the macaroni but a bit too much oil sitting at the bottom of the macaroni which she drained out into another dish. Fries again perfect. Older son had the smash burger with macaroni and fries as well. Again oils sitting under the macaroni had to be poured out. Even I who doesn’t lean towards burgers though had to do a double take on this burger as it just looked amazing. I believe my word was, “Wow!” He really enjoyed the burger but said it was a bit salty. This seemed to be the biggest complaint with my dish as well. I ordered the oxtail with collard greens and garlic mashed potatoes. I couldn’t finish my oxtail or collard greens because they were way to salty. Didn’t even mind the pool of oil sitting on top of the oxtail and gravy which I spooned off into another bowl. I opted to take home and try with a big side of white rice to hopefully salvage the oxtail and collard greens. Can’t say it helped though. Still ended up tossing out one oxtail and the rest of the collard greens. I don’t doubt I would have finished it all had they not been so salty. Not sure what happened here but pretty bummed the only thing on my expensive dish that was edible was the garlic mashed potatoes. Was happy that my youngest shared their shrimp and catfish with me. Not sure we would be back as it is out of the way but hope they work on the saltiness of said dishes and maybe drain off more of the oil from the mac and cheese before serving etc.

I’ve only been once, so I didn’t get to try everything, but I had a fried chicken craving and DID THEY DELIVER!!! I have to go in person so I can see what this Catfish and Gumbo is talking about next.

Had a horrible experience with this restaurant. Unfortunately wasn't able to pick up my mobile order, and was denied a refund which is inexcusable. Manager baker was not helpful, and needs to update their refund policy. Horrible customer

(THIS REVIEW IS REGARDING THE WEST HOLLYWOOD SUNSET LOCATION ONLY) My 1st time I truly wish this establishment well...the service was impeccable (service 4 stars) Romeo was great the owner/Manager (female) was so welcoming and present- Magnum the owner welcomed my feedback(a bit defensive surprised by my criticism of the food)yet he heard me out...the food (breakfast) turkey link sausage , eggs, potato biscuit uhhhhh....wasn't anything special that I couldn't have made in the same fashion at home from the sausage to the potatoes to the biscuit just meahhh price to quality?! ...i wasn't impressed enough to make a special trip from Inglewood to here (for breakfast)...maybe I'll come back for lunch, however I recommend trying for yourself and come to your own conclusions?

Definitely, good vibes, the place just opened up. It is located inside parking lot complex behind Burger king. I order Mom's fried chicken with Mac and cheese and collard greens. The chicken was cook to perfection crispy and flavored well. They also have few selections on beer and wine with limited selection on hard liquor. Great place to watch sports they have 6 TV and they do offer happy hours monday to Friday 4-7. Definitely worth checking them out they also offer brunch.Ps. Junior was so welcoming and well knowledged. It was a pleasure being served by him. Will be back ASAP
