I made a reservation months ago and was going to stay here in late July 2023, but when I arrived the workers were picketing outside and on strike. I will NOT cross a picket line. I canceled my reservation and left to another hotel near LAX. Solidarity!
One and done for me at this hotel. People raising hell in the hallway. I gotta get up at 4 am. I made the mistake of calling the front desk to complain. They sent some dimwit to knock on my door. Yes, knock on my door to make excuses for people partying in the hallway. You can’t make this uo. Here’s a thought, tell them go in their rooms. The hallway isn’t a party room. And the agent knocks on our door.
We chose this hotel because of its location. We had a late night flight into LAX and needed a place close by with a shuttle. However, the shuttle never showed up. Thankfully a shuttle from a neighbouring hotel group (with a lovely driver named Denise) tried contacting the hotel, and after a third pass just picked us up and dropped us off there. Our room was nice, but toilet clogged multiple times. Bed was really firm so I didn’t find it comfortable. Breakfast (at cost) was good and there was no wait for a table. The hotel staff were welcoming. The lobby was overwhelming as their had multiple soundtracks (an Ed Sheeran and Pink one near the door and piano music closer to the check in desk) plus some really strong scents which we found off putting. Not sure our experience was worth the price charged. Would stay again if we needed to, but may look into another hotel was a more consistent shuttle first.
Arrived late after spending day at local amusement park in order to get some rest before our early morning flight. Location of hotel is great for proximity to LAX.We opted for online check-in to skip front desk.Elevator would not work with the mobile key in app. Tried multiple times. Finally had another guest scan their key to allow us to get to our floor.Upon arriving at room, first thing we noticed were the couch and chairs. Multiple stains and dirt. Not just in one spot on the couch, almost the entire thing. Desperately need to be cleaned/replaced. (See photos)Bed and rest of room were all clean and we were exhausted, so decided instead of making the trek back downstairs to request a new room that we would just stay put, eat our dinner on the bed, shower and go to sleep. No washcloths were in bathroom when attempting to shower. Called guest service who stated they would send some up. Waited 15-20 mins. Ended up using hand towels instead. Took nearly an hour for them to finally make their way to our room.In morning we utilized shuttle to take us to airport. No wait. Driver was friendly and got us to our terminal promptly.
This hotel is on a street with several other LAX hotels, and is one of the higher priced of these hotels, but worth the cost. I stayed at 2 hotels on this same road, and this one was in much better shape, more modern, cleaner, less packed, and the workers were all very friendly and attentive. The windows are double paned and we could see but not hear or feel the planes at all. FYI: At the airport hotel shuttle pick up, we encountered a shuttle that didn't pull over, so make sure to wave down the white and purple Hyatt/Quik Park truck, if you need the shuttle. Another shuttle came by about 10-15 minutes later.Walkability: It's in walking distance to several stores including In n Out, Target, Ralphs. The road is a very busy road and we saw several flight attendants also walking, so it is safe.
