Rough Cut Hard Cider - Kalispell

This restaurant has been closed since November 2022, and it seems the owner hasn't bothered to update anyone about it. It's a real waste of time, especially since they still have the sign up!

I was initially impressed by the unique ciders offered here. Last summer, I bought some from a local grocery store just a five-minute drive from the cidery for my wedding reception. However, I must caution others against consuming the canned product. The taste was unpleasant from the start, and I advised my guests not to drink them. When we later emptied the cooler filled with the icy cans, one of them exploded and cut my hand. After stopping the bleeding, I called Rough Cut and was met with an insulting response from the bartender. Instead of receiving a simple acknowledgment of the issue, I was confronted about a product that has no warning indicating it should be refrigerated—which we did—or that fermentation could continue in the can, leading to swelling and potential explosions. We will not be returning to this establishment. It's one thing to be injured by a product; it's another to be met with arguments and accusations rather than a sincere apology. I was also immediately asked for my contact information so the owner could follow up with me, which felt entirely unacceptable and could even warrant legal action.

I really enjoy the cider blends at Rough Cut, as well as their bartenders. The atmosphere is so relaxed and comfortable. I love hanging out with a few ciders, trying a flight, and listening to their live music!

I've been coming here for years with my husband after he found it on a brewery/winery/distillery tour. I've always liked the array of flavors. There's been some over the years I haven't liked, but that's the beauty of choices and getting tasters. Tip: ask the bartender for their favorite blend. Friday's growler fills are $5 bucks off and they have punch cards for fills as well.

Stopped by for a flight and was not disappointed! I tried their Kickback Kiwi, Bear Food, Loggin' Lemons and Clearwater Cinnamon. They were all so delicious. I wound up getting a glass of the Mountain Mango, which was equally amazing! If you are in the area you should swing by!
