Ellacure Restaurant & Bar - Kaleen

Had a chicken burger from this place and was very disappointed. The burger was greasy and full of cheese. They put way too much bacon on the burger. The sweet potato chips on the side were average. I'm not going to return to this place as this was one of the worst chicken burgers I have eaten.

I booked this venue for a baby shower lunch. We had 20 people attend. The venue allowed us to come early to set up some table arrangements and their communication with me in the lead up was fantastic. Everyone really enjoyed their lunch and spoke highly of the food. I was impressed that they let such a large group do Al La Carte (we just had to order ahead of the day so as to make service easier). There was a small mix up with one of the orders but they quickly fixed this and were really professional about it all.  They really contributed to a wonderful day.  I personally had the beef cheeks and they were delicious! Would eat here again and recommend for a large group.

Excellent food. Pan seared barramundi was delicious. Excellent service. Cannot fault anything. Reasonable price. Vibrant and romantic atmosphere.

We were pleasantly surprised to find such a nice restaurant in such a convenient location. The service and staff are very nice. We started with a fresh salad and flat bread with dips. For our mains I had the duck and my wife had the salmon. Both dishes were perfectly prepared and beautifully presented. The portions were generous and we just didn't have room for dessert but we did see some other guests enjoying very attractive deserts. The wine list was well rounded but not overwhelming. We will be back to try some of the other selections soon.

Anyone who gives this place more than two stars obviously never visited the place in it's hey day. The times you used to walk in and the door was opened for you and you were greeted with a big hello and sometime even a hug! The lights were dim, tea lights lit, and the place had a real buzz. I am someone who started going here when it was brand new and was a very loyal customer - many birthdays, special events, and lots of fun times here. The chairs furniture and carpets all the same (quite worn and dated). The staff seem despondent I have visited here two times in the last six months - the "specials" board hasn't changed and nor has the menu! Such ashame - this place used to be my first choice, now it's my last resort. Anyone who used to experience the ellacure difference for themselves and has been recently will know what I mean.
