Calypso Cafe - Kaleen

Vittoria or house coffee. I like Vittoria. BYO vessel if you like. I had an awesome egg and salad wrap whilst watching the cricket in a light and airy environment. There’s an outdoor area but I sooked out with the heat this time.

Viewed a cafe worker grabbing chocolate balls from a carton with her bare hands dropping them into a jar on the counter. To my enquiry she said, “My hands are clean.” Seriously? Everybody I know now knows!

Had an English breakfast tea bag, a banana yoghurt smoothie and banana bread. All were fine. Nice eating area inside and outside.

Wide range of hot and cold food and coffee. I always have a laugh when they ask if I want milk with my peppermint tea. I always have the soup (which is both good value and quality in my experience). There's an ATM machine in the corner as there is no credit or EFTPOS facilities here.

Went here for breakfast, just plain bad! Me: do you do eggs benedict? Waitress: No Me: can I have a look at your breakfast menu? Waitress: we don’t have a menu, our breakfast foods are over there. Went over had a look, terrible selection so I ordered some raison toast with a flat white. Me: can I have that with butter Waitress: blank look Me: can I pay with my credit card Waitress: cash only. In the end I got slightly burnt toast with margarine. And they don’t bring your coffee to your table you have to get it yourself. What a terrible start to my morning (the coffee was OK though).
