My wife and I tried this cafe after visiting the Kalamunda Weekend Markets on Sunday morning. The coffee was excellent - my flat white was smooth, creamy and with a long lasting flavour. My wife spoke highly of her flat white. We came for a drink only - and enjoyed it so much we ordered some food and second drinks while relaxing in their shady outdoor area. The breakfasts at well priced, nothing exotic but all the standards starting at $10. The staff were friendly with the only downside being a longish wait to have drinks and food delivered to the tables.
This café is a charming spot with ample indoor seating and some outdoor seating on the sidewalk. They offer a nice selection of cakes, as well as quiche and other lunch options. The service is friendly, and we thoroughly enjoyed our afternoon tea and coffee. Our rhubarb and berry slice was served warm with cream and was absolutely delicious. While this café could easily earn 5 stars, I recently had brunch in a stunning rose garden, making it a tough competition. Overall, I would give this café 4 stars and definitely recommend it as a great place to check out.
This has been a tradition with our family to go to the fruit and vegetable markets and head to coffee and a morning tea complete with waffles, eggs and bacon, a frittata, scones or muffins and meat pies. So good!! Worth your time!
The food and drinks were satisfactory, but nothing remarkable. Waiting 20 minutes for coffee and 30 minutes for food at 11am on a Saturday is not acceptable.
